Is a used transmission worth it??? 200

That's kind of ridiculous. EVERY car drives around on a used transmission. They mostly don't have problems. Why would they start when one is transplanted? By their logic, no car could ever be fixed right, and that's foolish.
A used Volvo transmission is about the safest bet you can make for a major component for a modern vehicle.
The only troublesome units Volvo ever sold were the ZF transmissions in early 740 non-turbos, and the automatics in 1993 850s. The AW70 you most likely have is about the most reliable unit in the world.
As noted, try everything external before deciding that it must be replaced.
