mechanic in the Saint Louis area 700 1985

Hi,
I'm having terrible problems with my 740 GLE. Most times this car starts up just
fine and will idle all day just fine. However, some days I drive about 2 blocks and it will die. Tach drops and no lights on dash board. Some times it will start right back up and some times it won't. I've flooded it out twice which
both times had to go to the mechanic. They've put new plugs on it and installed a new distributor. Does anyone out there know of a good mechanic in Saint Louis Missouri by change that I could take car to? I've had it at 2 shops and 1 dealership with no luck.
