code 131 and 231 200 1990

Hey all.

My girlfriend's brick started acting up. She said the car stopped and she started it back upand got her home. i think she meant that the car was hesitating a little. The codes i got were 121 and 231. I want to check other area before buying a AMM. I did a search and Mr.D. Foster mention cleaning the connectors on the AMM and RPM sensors. WHere is the rpm sensor exactly?

What about cleaning the throttle body.
Spraying carb cleaner to check for vacuum leaks?

Anything else?

Thanks.
