volt meter install question 200

Well I have installed the volt meter correctly per the instructions on this board. My problem/question is,as I have yet to figure out how to correctly wire the lighting for it,as there are 2 pin type connections off the tiny lite bulb, with absolutley no +/- or any other indications on said tiny bulb.

1.Is the BROWN wire coming off/into the instrumentation panel the correct dim/backlite source that I need for lighting the voltmeter, and if not what power source do I use?
2. Do I just try the elimination process,as I assume one of the pins off the tiny bulb is plus and the other is negative, will it blow the bulb if i reverse the +/-?

AS usual guys thanx in advance for all your comments..I find this board a real blessing and money saving forum. Thanx
