Factory A/C, where does the AIR/TEMP/DEFROST control go? 1800 1965

My 1965 1800S I believe is original with factory (dealer installed?) A/C.
When the A/C is installed the original location of the AIR/TEMP/DEFROST control is re-located. Mine is on the passenger side (in a rather cumbersome place) and is held only with one screw. This control to say the least looks Mickey Mouse and I can't believe Volvo would do someting like that. Does anyone out there have an 1800 with A/C that could give me an idea of what this control looks like? I have posted pictures in the gallery under 1800 technical Uhavinfun. The question is what does the correct control look like and where is it positioned?
Thanks, I'm HAVINFUN.
