Replacing rusted wings? 700

My 745 1986 has finally rusted through on one side of the front wings and the other isnt much better.
So instead f reparing it im going to go to the scrap yard and get two new ones why brings me to my question?

Is it hard to remove the old ones & attach the new ones?
(my car is an 86, will only wings from the same period do and will 740 be ok?)

Also while im there i might get a new start motor if i find a good one, are they hard to remove/ install? (again are all volvo 74x start motors compatible?)

Thanks a million for all help.

Murt
