Three strikes and they're out! No more Scan Tech for me. 200

I previously posted about a ScanTech t-belt tensioner that failed (exploded is more like it) after only one year. Strike one. Today I installed a pair of ball joints and outer tie rod ends on a customers 244 GL. One ball joint package was missing one of the four small bolts that go into the strut - only three in the package. When I go to install the assembly on the bottom of the tube, the tapered stud is too long, and touches the bottom of the shock insert. So I hacksaw the extra threads off, and away I go. Strike two. I then try to thread a new tie rod end on, and the internal threads on the new part are all mangled and torn up. No evidence of anyone else messing them up, they came out of the plastic bag like that. Order another one, and it is fine internally, and threads on OK. My supplier took the first one back. That's strike three, and I am done using ScanTech parts.
I have used Volvo suspension parts in the past, and although they are far more expensive, they are obviously worth it.
