Trannyking CD ROM Manuals on ebay 900

I see that Tranyking has a CD for the 1996 960 listed on ebay.

Someone said that these are non-specific to any particular year and are not worth buying for $30. I also note that some are not pleased with his business practices. Unfortunately, he appears to be the only game in town for reasonably priced manuals.

I would like opinions from several folks who may have bought them.

I have the Chilton's manual, which is not awful, but like everyone has pointed out is confusing since it addresses so many models and years.

1) Is the CD year specific model year?
2) Is the repair data detailed and suitable for serious work (or general and vague)?
3) Are the photos/illustrations detailed and clear?
