A fool and his brick 200

Here is the deal with Scan Tech. Scan Tech does not make (all) their own parts.

That means, some of their product is good, and some of their product is shit. If you buy only Scan Tech engine mounts, then Scan Tech products are really good. If you buy only their legendary strut bearings and exploding timing belt tensioners, then all of Scan Tech's stuff is crap. See where I'm going with this?

Personally, I think Scan Tech's 240 engine mounts used to be the best game in town, because they didn't have all of the slush and slop of the German aftermarkets. In fact, I used to go to great lengths to get them.

I would say, you will never know if there is any difference between the Scan Tech mounts and anything else, in terms of longevity. But you should be pretty happy with the fact that they're new, and should last for at least several years, if not a lot more than that.

One last note: I used to work in a Volvo shop. So that pretty much qualifies me to make a reasonably educated assessment.

You have to watch the manufacturer of their parts. Since they buy from a variety of suppliers, their product might be the same as you're getting elsewhere. And sometimes it's the same JUNK you're getting elsewhere. But not all of their stuff is garbage. Maybe a lot of it is; but I used to really like their 240 mounts.

I guess a lot of it boils down to being careful. I wouldn't worry about the mounts.
