2 mother's day related problems... 200

I figured for mother's day I'd finally do the work on her 93 244 I'd been meaning to get around to... and now I have two questions.

I've replaced the gas gauge, but it still jumps up and down before settling on empty, even with a full tank. What could be causing this?

Anybody have a code for the stock radio? I was a good little boy and disconnected the negative from the battery to prevent air bag deployment while I was putzing around in the dash, but forgot the radio was going to reset.

Thanks a lot... she'll at least be happy that I vaccummed it...

-Matt
