You will need to time the engine by making sure all 3 pulleys (crankshaft, intermediate shaft and camshaft) have their marks aligned with the marks on the engine or head. Set the crank to 0 TDC, set the cam to the mark on the head or cam cover, set the intermediate (distributor drive) to the mark on the backing plate (difficult to see at times). Put on new belt, the OEM belt has alignment marks, but honestly, I've found them to be more hassle than they are worth. As long as the marks on each sprocket are lined up your in. Tension belt and rotate engine by hand 2X (in direction of rotation), put crank mark dead on, camshaft mark better be dead on, distributor mark should be very close. You can adjust distributor for final ignition timing once done. Good luck.
