horrible squeaking front end! 140-160 1972

I just went thru a similar problem. Check and see if the power steering pump has slipped down slightly. Theres not much clearance there and the pump pulley could be rubbing against the sway bar. My car has an IPD sway bar and I think the motor mounts have gone soft enough over the years to take up the clearance. Its worth a look. You may be able to raise up the pump(2 bolts,1 adjuster bolt)if your lucky. See my other post on changing the auto trans mount. No day at the beach!
