manifold from hell 200 1983

One plug not fireing, at hi RPM would leave a cherry red pipe. Some times a plug will fire at idel and not under load, this would include a hairline crack on the isolater of the plug, crack in cap,bad wire, the engine would idel and drive normal but when driven hard the plug would fail.
The unburned gas, would egnite in the exaust pipe from the heat, and cherry the exaust pipe, it only takes one and this also would explain the loss of power. just a thought.

sorry raidman this is not where I wanted this to be.My fault, thought this would be independent...of your post.
