B230F block fit for 230FT?

I am in the process of rebuilding one of my 760s. It is a 90 760 with the 230FT. I am considering buying a used block. Can I use a block from a non -turbo engine. I seem to remember you can and it even is preferred since those engines have less stress than the turbos.
