Is there a trick to removing the plastic that covers the rear view mirror mounting? 200 1985

I've tried to pry it off, but I'm afraid to use too much force and end up breaking it.

Also, I'm trying to find my mechanic the best manual possible for my '85 & '86 240's. (The one he has right now sucks. It has a whole page of pictures showing you how to unscrew the arm rest and window crank thingy, but doesn't even mention worn out bushings as a factor in the rear suspension fault diagnosis section.) I saw an earlier post that mentioned Bently/Bosch, which I'm checking into, but I'd welcome any suggestions.

He just changed the trailing rod bushings on my '86, and I can't believe the difference!!
