Water in floor area - passenger back seat 700 1989

Guys,

I am driving 740 Turbo sedan 1989. The car has sun roof.
After heavy rain I found the floor area(carpet) of passenger back seat soaked by water. There was also water in the floor area in front passenger seat although not as much as the rear seat.
I read few responces of this problem before but didn't understand what is 'cowl' and how to remove it.

I am pretty new to Volvo cars, so could you please help giving directions where to start looking.
Also I read about sun roof draining pipes, etc. Where are they ?
