Electric cooling fan AGAIN 700

I recently posted a message regarding the electric fan on my 740gl wagon 1989. Thanks to those who responded. The fan works none at all. I tested it by connecting straght current from the battery and the fan motor works. I re placed the temp on & off switch which is at the side of the radiator. I bridge the two wires which goes to that switch and the fan comes on. can anyone tell how does the fan work and when it should turn on (does the fan suppose to come on when the AC is turn on) Today was 90+*C outside here in Miami and the fan does not work . Anyone please help Thanks in advance. NB the temp gauge reads a little bit passed halfmark> The on and off switch on my car is located at the left side of the radiator (the same side as the exhuast) at the top the radiator was already changed could the switch be in the wrong place (1989 740 wagon b230f)
thanks
