Heater core hoses and engine mounts 140-160 1971

I've replaced the original heater core hoses (all 3) and am sure I got the order correct, but the temperature control valve is not closing/sealing properly (mechanism close 100%). Could someone please confirm the connection order for me from the rear of the engine through the valve/core to the pipe that runs along the side to the front. The hoses were disintegrating, and after they dried out on the bench I've poured a lot of flakes out of them! Perhaps in my battle with the hoses the valve got contaminated. Which direction to flush?

The engine mounts are also in need of replacement. A friend mentioned that this is easy on his Amazon. Could someone please expand on this? I do not have a block 'n tackle, but could I support the engine somewhere with a hydraulic jack? It's an automatic with B20B. Looks like it's just a matter of removing the nuts.

Thanks
Niel
