Frozen Distributor - any ideas? 200 1983

The 83 has been surging/bucking on acceleration in the gears, and pinging on hills, so I checked the timing and found it around 15 BTC which is too advanced. But the white cap (Chrysler) distributor housing is 'frozen' and won't turn in the block. Phoned the indie Volvo man here and he said to be very careful, they are made of a poor grade of zinc alloy (melted down kids' toy pistols?) and he had broken one off in the block not long ago.

I'm giving it regular shots of PBlaster after a drive, when it's warm. After about a week of this I'll try to loosen it. Anyone have any techniques that have solved this problem? Thanks.
