Antenna mast cleaning 900

I followed as suggested from the FAQ section a thorough cleaning of the power antenna.
removal of mast - soaked in WD40 - wipe clean
open casing and remove and clean all sprockets - amazing how much crap in there
(Q tips soaked in WD40 work great)
There is a small guide at the entrance of the housing for the notched cable make sure you remove and clean - also insert Q tips to clean.

The most important part after re-assembling everything is getting the mast cable back into the spool properly. *** Make sure you bend about a 1/4 inch from the end of the cable in the opposite direction of curve because there is a small lip at the end of the shaft that can create total frustration by preventing the cable from entering the sprocket housing( as I found out the hard way and wasted an hour and a half looking for the problem ) as soon as I made the bend at the end the cable it engaged on the first try.

I am very pleased with the results - you can hardly hear any noise when engaged and it now works perfectly every time.
