Graphite!!!

I can't say it enough.

I'll say it again:

GRAPHITE!

Squirt some dry graphite (I said it again) into the lock and it will fix it... as if by M A G I C

However, it will conflict with anything in there that's wet, like if you sprayed oil or grease or seawater in there, so if that's the case, pull it out and do what those other guys said, and don't use graphite. Electrical contact cleaner is simply that: Cleaner. It will displace moisture and clean a certain amount of particulate out, but it offers no lubrication. Since it dries so fast though, it's fine to use GRAPHITE as long as you didn't put anything else in there.
