B28F Swap For A B27F 200

Hello To All,

Quick question. Anybody know or ever heard of trying to replace a B27F engine with a B28F engine? I wanted to know if I would also have to bring the B28F tranny along. Stumbled upon a sweet looking 72 264 that was wrecked in the back and the owner (a friend of mine) wants to sell if for $100. What a steal. The engine and tranny are in good shape. Although I would put some more work in to them before I have it dropped into my 79 264GL. I was just thinking if I should go ahead an d get this car so I could use the engine and other things at a later date. Any and all advice are always welcomed. Thanks.

Sincerely,

Nickvjr
