replacing starter/ solenoid on a 75 240 sedan 200 1975

Greetings friends,

I have a 75 240 sedan that has recently quit turning over on me, there wasnt any drop in cranking performance before it did...one morning it just didnt...

I would love an explenation on the most efficient way to diagnose whether i have a fried solenoid or a bad starter motor...

I hope all are enjoying their May to the fullest,...and all Oregonians enjoying some good weather at long last!

Sincerely,

Aaron
Ashland, Oregon
