Well, as with women and cars, warmth makes all the difference in the world. First and formost, you can't make the disasterous mistake of a cold response to your wife where warmth is the only solution.
A block heater for those cold morning start-ups, a seat heater that warms her bum when she gets in, and a heated garage. All this with some thin synthetic oil should do the trick.
After that, she will love you to death and may even be open to suggestion on some of the finer points of auto maintence.
