radiator problem?? 200 1981

With summer coming - or anytime - sudden loss of coolant could lead to severe engine damage. (read - cost bucks)

I could not tell exactly where the leak is from your description - but it could be as simple as a loose hose clamp - or the rad may need replacing/repair.

Go to a good mechanic or a radiator repair shop, and they will usually do a visual inspection and tell you what the problem is and how much the cost will be - usually at no charge for the inspection.

If you do not have a good mechanic you can trust - get several quotes - visit several shops, and watch for anyone who quotes way too high or overplays the problem.

Ask your friends, or even here on the brickboard, for the name of a reputable mechanic.

Where do you live?

That is a start

Good Luck.
