Do I have an AMM or FPR or other problem - car is stumbling 200 1986

'86 245 with B230F and LH2.2 injection. Who knows how many miles.
Here is my problem: I was driving to work this morning, and my car started to feel like it was misfiring at speed. It started slowing down, when I let off of the gas pedal and pushed the clutch in. it went to a normal idle with no hesitation. If I try to accelerate hard, it lugs down and tries to die. I had to delicately feather the gas to get my car to work. The weird thing is, that with the clutch pushed in, I can rev it up just fine. The problem is somewhat intermittent. Does this sound like a bad AMM (I am puzzled because it idles fine) or a bad fuel pressure regulator (I don't have a gauge but I pulled the vacuum hose and did not discover gas in the vacuum side - but the noise of my main pump seems to vary widely) or something else - like the crank sensor or fuel injectors. The car did this to me once before about a month ago and then was fine. The last couple of days I have noticed that the car has taken a couple seconds longer to start. Here are the things that I have replaced since I bought the car four months ago:
- New timing belt
- New plugs
- New distributor cap
- New rotor button
- New fuel pump relay
- New in-tank fuel pump

Some known problems with my brick include need of a new wiring harness and the main fuel pump is a rebuilt unit put on by PO that is very noisy. Also, when I drive the car, there is a little stumbling after shifts kind of like a lack of power. This is more pronounced with the A/C on.

Help please - I have thirty miles to drive to get home and I would like to fix it before I head home. I just got a good used AMM off of eBay in yesterday that I brought with me to work to clean up (by the way - what is an acceptable method to clean a dirty AMM?) and will probably try putting it on.

Thanks,
Lance
