ngk g-power platinum (BPR6EGP)spark plugs for non-turbo? 700 1990

On sale at Can.Tire this wk sometimes cheaper than the ubiquitous
BPR6EY(V-groove),much easier to find than the BPR6ES(regular).
Anybody used the ngk plat before?
I found the Bosch plain platinum very good in the past but could no t
resist replacing them with a set of 99 Cents each Autozone Bosch Super before my emission test 2 yrs ago.My hydrocarbon level went up almost to the upper limit in 2 yrs either
(1) from aging in 2yrs or
(2)switch from plat to regular copper.
Now that it's time for another bloody emission test!
Tom
