Transmission 200 1983

You need to ask this question: Do you really want to keep the car. Dropping tranny is not an easy task. so I guess it all depends on how much your mechanic wants. I dropped mine for a clutch job and it took me 10 hours for the whole job. I think I can do it in 6 hours since I have more experience.

I am not sure what is wrong with the tranny, but yes do change the clutch disk, pressure plate, release bearing and rear crankshaft engine seal at the same time. It is good idea to replace all of these when you service the transmission.
