probarly silly Q 700 1987

gday
i own a 1987 740 turbo(Quick Brick), i was just wanting to know if u can put a POD filter on my car? it might be a silly Question but ive looked at my air filter box and there seems to be a pipe coming from the bottom leading somewhere. im not sure if it is hooked up to the turbo or not, im a but wet behind the ears when it comes to turbo's, let alone volvo turbos. and is there any cheaps ways of getting a little bit more horses from my car, not that it needs it but just little things which can help. love driving my volvo, looks good at the school car park next to nissan pintara's and holden commodores.
thanx in advance
brownie.
p.s.im from Australia so my 1987 740 might be ur 1985 model, where a bit behind.
