handbrake cabling... 700 1992

Well, first off, it's not really an emergency brake, so safety isn't a concern. Besides, if your car lost its brake, the last thing you would want to do is yank the handbrake hard. You'd lock your rear tires and spin out.

There are 2 separate cables. One runs from the handbrake to the lefthand wheel. The other cable is shorter and runs from that pivot bracket thing in the center to your RH wheel. Which one broke?

I have never done this job myself, but I did a good deal of work directly with the parking brake shoes, so I got a good look at the cabling recently. If you're not sure what parts you need, you can always call FCPGroton and while ordering it, ask them. They're fantastic about stuff like that.
