one more tip 200 1989

One thing I do on top of what these others have stated is when the drain plug is still out of the oil pan and the car is still warm add about 1/4 quart of new oil to the oil fill and this flushes all of the old oil out. You can see some of the old dark oil come out and then the fresh oil will follow it. Also you can get a magnetic oil plug at www.eeuroparts.com for something like $3. This plug is one STRONG magnet. You have a hard time even getting it to thread due to its magnetic power always pulling it to one side of the threads. You can buy a case of Mann (Volvo) filters on the eeuroparts.com site for something like 32 bucks for 10 of them. Not too shabby considering its about the same price as Fram and in this case your not buying "orange death".
Good luck.
