Both E and F heads use 44mm intake valves, vs. the 42mm intakes in carb B20 heads. They are basically just the same except for the compression ratio (E = 10.5:1, F = 8.7:1), and that's the main difference in the castings. Point is that you can't take an F head down to the E thickness without shaving into parts of the combustion chambers that are better left alone.
