rear coil spring 200 1987

I just replaced my rear shocks because I though they were the problem but the problem is still there. What is happening is when I go over a large dip or bump and the car has a lot of vertical travel, there is a ugly noise and I think it could be the coil spring because it isn't the shock. It sounds like it is binding up and not rebounding properly. Do these springs go bad?

The front driverside also makes a loud kind of squeeking noise when going over bumps, would this be the strut or the coil? How hard is it to replace these I have never done it before?
