Back to the hinge 200 1990

Now that we have established that wires in the right hinge of my wagon's rear door are all broken but one, how can I access and repair the wiring harness? Ipd offers the harness for about $20. It appears that it would be really easy for me to destroy the interior headliner in trying to get it off. And the access to the wiring inside the door is lousy (remove the wiper motor and linkage?) Anyway, not afraid to tackle it once I get a better handle on the unknown. Should I be afraid? Thanks for any tips.
