Highest mileage in 960 3,0 S90-V90

147,500 miles in our 95 960, recently switched to Castrol Syntec 5W-50( from Syntec 10W-30) and oil consumption went from 1 qt every 2,500 miles to 0.5 qts in 5,000 miles.

that is imho very good idea.
here in europe it is common to use 0W40, but I know people who runs with 960 on Castrol 10W60.
I am using 5W50 Mobil 1 SuperSyn - new formula with API SJ.
Maybe it cost a litlle bit more in fuel consumption, but ot is much more safe for engine.
