88 245 Rear Wiper Problems

magoo is right, it's wires through the hinges. They flex pretty fine for the first 10 yers or so, then it's iffy until they finally break.

The one that's broken now is the one that supplies constant power to the wiper motor. The way the system works is that when the power to the wiper (from you or the intermittent relay) is cut off, the constant power keeps the motor running until it hits the "park position" switch. Then it shuts off at the right location.

On your car that wire should be a black wire in the right side hinge.

Good Luck,

Bob
