Tranny replace 200 1983

I believe the 76-78 manual tranny (M??) has 10 splines on the input shaft which line up to the 10 splines in the center of the clutch disc (the part that wears down).

The 79-95 tranny (M46, M47) has 21 splines in the input shaft...

Assuming the clutch disc diameter is the same, you could install the 10 spline disc in place of the 21 spline disc which you have now (I assume your car is presently a manual).
