89 740 GL front engine seals BF230f non-turbo 700

Hello Everyone: My front engine seal(s) are more than ready to be replaced. My question is, is this too big of an undertaking for a weekend do it yourselferm who has not done this job before? I've checked through the FAQ, looks like I'll need to buy or barrow a tool or two. I have not gotten a bid from my local repair shop as yet. I had this repair done on 86 240 DL several years ago and don't recall the cost. Any comments appreciated. 67 122S 110k 86 240 DL 255K 89 740 GL 186K
