what's the best way to change fluid on a 1041 axle? 700 1991

so i've ordered new tranyn fluid and rear end fluid from amsoil thanks to the help on someone from here and well ..

i was wonder what's the best way to drain and refill the rear end on my 91' 740T ... its a 1041(eaton locker) so ... i've done work on many many an old cars so i'm very familiar w/ how to do it on GM vehicals ... but well i'm just wondering if there is anything different w/ my volvo??

so do i just pull the diff cover and let it drain out? and then put on a new gasket and refill from the top? or well what's the best way?
