Did I goof big time or small time? 200

According to the Haynes manual I used Dexron II ATF to top off the power steering pump. A few days later I noticed that the owner's manual calls for Type F. I know Haynes is sometimes wrong, but so is the owner's manual (for example, the location of the diff drain bolt).

The real issue is, are Dexron and Type F compatible in a power steering pump, or should I drain and refill to avoid a looming disaster? Hey, I don't even know what was in there to start with.

Thanks to all.

Jim
