Oil pressure, doors and stuff 120-130

I'm helping a young guy with his '64 122. He wants to replace the doors with doors we're taking off a "donor" car he bought. How do you get the rear doors off? We can ruin the post on the donor, I guess, to get them off, but that solution doesn't work with his better car.

He told me today that his car's oil light turns on when he first starts the car - o.k., but also turns on at any speed after he hass been driving a while, and he says there's a sound that to me sounds like oil is low. The dipstick (on the car, not one of us) shows sufficient oil. A bad oil pump sounds like the problem. Of course, I haven't been there when it has happened. I'm not eager to replace the oil pump, but can do it this week if it's necessary.

What parts of a car designated for dismemberment are worth keeping. We will keep the doors, windshields, trim that is good, engine, transmission and axle half-shafts. What else is worth the effort?

Thanks for the help.

Jim Hampton
