tight steering causes front end to plow 700

I have an '87 740 Turbo.

When I am atvery low speeds (i.e. turning into a parking space) and I crank the wheel hard in either direction I have a bit of plowing in the front end which can even cause the front wheels to skip (if on gravel). If there is good traction it actually causes the front end to bounce a little. I also notice this in reverse.

Is this normal for a RWD car?
Does it have to do with the rear diff?

How does a limited slip differential effect this?
