problems starting the engine 700 1991

did the car run ok before you changed the belt? if you installed the belt incorrectly that might be a big problem. i would pull the top cover off so you can see the timing marks on the cams and bring it up on tdc cylinder #1. if your only off a couple of teeth you might be alright. when you crank it does it sound like it has even compression in all cylinders?
