Hiya Phil,
Sorry, I haven't been here in a while.
When I did this job I wanted to use an early door panel on a later door.
I robbed the clips from the upper holes for to put on the lower.
The only problem I had was after bending them off the old hole, I couldn't get them flat enough for the screw to grab them. Of course, I eventually did, but it was a long time ago; I don't remember very well.
Now on your brandspankin' new door panels from Sweden, I beleive you have a choice on the backside board for upper or lower holes. There is a perforated pattern to punch out.
Why have you chosen lower holes? I think Volvo raised them because they're almost useless that low. Then again, I am not as tall as you and I have freakishly short arms:o)
