Need to know where ignition module wire goes 200 1981

I ran a new wire to both the negative terminal of the coil and the 31B terminal of the fuel pump relay. A-OK now. Thanks.

PS: It actually started with everything hooked up except at the red/white wire at the ignition module. Once the fuel pump was working again it fired up. Why did it run without the red/white wire connected at the ignition module? I'm trying to learn about this stuff.

Thanks for the help.
