Coolant Leak from Oil Pump area? 900

I have been locating the source of an intermittant coolant leak on my wife's '94 965 for a couple of weeks now. I am now locating the leak to be from the interface between the oil pump flange & intermediate section of the block. It is possible that the leak is from the interface of the intermediate section of the block & the main section of the block, but if it is here, then it is right at the front on the drivers side of the oil pump flange.

Does anyone know what the coolant communication is with the oil pump? I see in the manual that the coolant is to be drained before removing the oil pump. Is a part of the coolant circuit "in communication" with the oil pump or the flange of the oil pump?

The leak is quite bizarre in that it doesn't leak when the car is hot or even warm. Instead it seems to leak when the car is cold, like after it has sat overnight.
