I think you misunderstood me... 700 1988

I think Jet means for you to use the floor jack under the pumpkin, place the jack stands at the jack points, then remove the floor jack. I imagine you might then need the floor jack and maybe more stands to support the axle while you're removing it.

Unless they're damaged, the jack points should be totally adequate for supporting the back of the car on stands.
