92 940 Hub replacement 900

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to track down a grumbling noise and associated tire wear in the front right of my 940GL. The grumble is most noted in the front right at slower speeds when turning to the left. I also have a shimmy that seems to be sporadic at moderate (30-60mph) speeds. I am suspecting that the front wheel bearing is failing, but I am not getting the high pitched whine that I am accustomed to. Is this a likely culprit?

My plan is to replace all of the bushings, ball joints and tie rod ends on both sides, as well as the right front hub. I've never removed the hub on this car...is there anything unusual abouth the process that will cause my children to learn new 4 letter words? I am counting 4 control arm bushings on each side as well as 2 stabilizer bar bushings. Does this sound right?

Thanks,

--Jim
