Blown head gasket and head corrosion? 700 1990

My 90 740ti recently blew a head gasket. It has about 160k it and did not run hot very long perhaps 5 minutes at the most. I had it towed home and pulled the head. The machine shop that I took it to told me that there is corrosion on the seating surface and that three of the plugholes are almost stripped. I change plugs often enough to question that. As for the corrosion I have not been to the shop to check it. What is the opinion of the board experts?
p.s. They also pressure tested it and no leaks.
