odometer broken 200

The little gear in the drive motor has broken. It's common and it's not the end of the world. You have a couple of options.
1) Get another unit from a junkyard or Ebay. Estimated cost $50-75.
2) Send yours out to Overseas Speedometer (a VCOA sponsor) - turnaround a couple of days, cost $50-100. www.speedometer.com
3) Order a gear from Jeff Kaplan and install it yourself. He gets $29 for the gear delivered. http://members.ispwest.com/jkcaplan/gearwebpage/gear.html

Eric's page is very helpful as well with the process of replacement:

Good luck! You can do this replacement yourself with nothing more than a couple of screwdrivers. Save the $500 for the really big stuff you need (like IPD sway bars and big tires!!)
